my story 🚀
🛻 On my road trip from Austin to Chicago, I had a chance to swing by Iowa to go fishing with Teeg, one of my new CatchCo colleagues. He gave me a spectacular introduction to both fishing and our product. Sadly, the fish were not biting that day, but there will surely be a next time. In other news, our trusty Ford truck made it all the way to Chicago, passing the 90k mile mark on the way, before a mechanical failure sent her to the shop. She’s back on the road and we’re heading to Wisconsin for an annual dads + kids camping trip this weekend. Happy father’s day!

Genetic drift. “Scientists have identified a new member on the genetic family tree of an endangered pupfish native to south-central New Mexico.” They think the origin of the new species is genetic drift, not natural selection. “Genetic drift results from the random inheritance of different genes from an organism's parents. Natural selection, by contrast, occurs when populations within a species change over time due to adaptation to diverse habitats.” ~ learn more
